Building What’s Next – Together

JOIN ME IN MY 2026 RUN FOR OUR ORANGE COUNTY STATE SENATE SEAT!

After my first term in the House, I wasn’t sure I’d stay in elected office. But something shifted this past year. I’ve found a way to lead that aligns with my values – staying grounded in authenticity, community, and the belief that government should work for everyone.

Over the past three years, I’ve fought for rural equity, data privacy, consumer protection, and youth engagement. I’ve worked to make government more transparent and accessible, bringing my background in technology, nonprofit leadership, and grassroots organizing to every conversation. What drives me is connection – the spark that happens when someone walks into the State House for the first time and realizes they belong there.

This campaign isn’t just about a Senate seat. It’s about the future of Vermont – our housing, climate resilience, and economic fairness. It’s about restoring trust, tackling affordability head-on, and rebuilding a sense of shared purpose in our communities. Vermonters sent a clear message this year: affordability isn’t a talking point; it’s a daily reality. It’s time for leadership that listens and responds.

I want to run a campaign that invites people in, gives them hope, and reminds them that they are part of something bigger. Together, we can build what’s next – a Vermont where everyone feels heard, included, and empowered to shape their future.

Monique Priestley in front of the Vermont State House

“A deeply engaged member of the Upper Valley community, Monique has more honors, elected positions, and community service than seems humanly possible.”
– Vital Communities

“Persistence and avid community involvement are among Monique’s attributes. But she has WAY more than endless energy and dogged determination. She has that awesome combination of hard work ethic, willingness to talk to everyone, humility in the face of resistance, calm in the face of challenges, and immunity to the undermining poison of skepticism.”
– Sarah Copeland Hanzas, VT State Representative, at Vital Communities’s 2019 Heroes & Leaders Celebration

Proud supporter of the Vermont grassroots Rubber Ducky Revolution movement.
